Inspired by YouTube authors I like (Game Grumps, Markiplier) and with the encouragement of a few friends, I’ve decided to try my hand at my own Let’s Play series, not-so-creatively named Sven Plays. It’s something I do purely in my downtime for fun right now, with videos being released daily at present. If I think a game I’m currently playing could be interesting to watch or I have something to say about it, I’ll record it and put it out there for folks to see!

I’m honestly still trying to find my own style as I’m going along. First and foremost, I want to be myself. Anyone who knows me in real life knows I’m not afraid to goof around, so if I feel there is an opportunity to be funny and it feels natural, I’ll roll with it. That said, I don’t want to force such things, and I’ll happily vocalize my thoughts and opinions instead if it feels appropriate. I’m hoping with time and experience, I’ll be able to provide some entertaining content that is distinctly my own. Of course feedback is always valuable!

If you want to get a sense of what Sven Plays is all about, here’s a compilation from one of the first games I played for the series! The game is Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs, a horror title that put me in a terribly vulnerable mindset.

It’s not always just me though! Sometimes I rope friends into episodes. A little while ago I got a bunch of my friends together and we played several rounds of Cards Against Humanity, one of the funniest and most horribly inappropriate games out there!

I managed to get my good friend Michelle to do an entire series with me as well! I’d love to do more with her in the future if possible!
